admin at sunshine gardens clubhouse operating community infrastructure including mail-in-a-box (email, dns), ejabberd (xmpp/chat), pleroma (activitypub/social networking), cgit, and others. the system is managed using experimental mesh networking technology developed at the clubhouse and elsewhere.

contributor to walkaway handbook an experimental distributed wiki engine designed for off-grid collaboration and information sharing. related experiments include aether and tracker.

contributor to tomo a security focused and lightweight meta distro based on alpine linux with ambitions to become an embedded lisp machine operating system for IoT, off-grid, and other meshnet-related applications.

i develop and maintain a large Vue application, cross-platform support libraries, and a build toolchain that targets web and Electron. notable support libraires include internal improvements upon vdata: a soft real-time client database with many graphql-like features using CityGro’s public REST apis. additionally, this module is able to create deterministic, but user-friendly, solutions to update and merge conflicts on REST resources.

a libre tech and cooperative business project created to gain first-hand experience of the challenges faced by new businesses and worker-cooperatives (member-owned and managed businesses) in general. As a software consultancy we created software solutions for a small number of clients and experimented with various collaboration tools, workplace democracy, and mentoring programs.

heropunch continues to operate as a loose association of engineers exploring decentralized manufacturing and peer to peer technology under the name sunshine gardens. we are researching and developing a next generation hardware and software platform, which we hope to eventually do full time.

managed a docker-based cloud deployment and developed a number of custom web applications. the cloud deployment runs a diverse set of services, including: Redis, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra, and others. the custom applications include an eCommerce platform with a variety of real-time integrations into external systems, and a custom inventory management system with its own external integrations. in addition to these custom applications, i managed deployments of a number of preexisting applications, such as: Wordpress, WPMS, Kayako Fusion, and a number of legacy PHP applications.
